Targeted Web Traffic Forums

A good way to receive targeted web traffic for your web site or WordPress blog is to use forums. There are three ways that you can use a forum to boost your targeted web traffic for your web site or WordPress blog.

The three ways that forums can be used to boost your targeted web traffic is by asking a question on a forum, answering questions on a forum and finally your profile that you setup on the forum web site. To begin receiving targeted web traffic for you WordPress blog or any other web site using forums, you must first do some research. The reasons you want to do some research before you start signing up to different forums.

• Not all forums will be targeted to your keyword or key phrase.
• Some forums don’t allow signatures
• Also some forums don’t submit commits to the search engines.

A way to solve two out of three of these problems is by doing a simple search on Google and Yahoo. What you will need to do is go to Google or Yahoo and type in your keyword or keyword phrase plus the keyword forum. For example if I was targeting the keyword “WordPress Adsense theme” I would go to Google and search “WordPress Adsense theme forum”.

As you can see from this search that there are 1,390,000 different results from this search term, all you need to do now is explore a few of these forums and see if they allow signatures. Just browse through some of the categories within the forum and see if other members have signatures in their messages. Also pay attention to see if the forums will allow you to submit links within the text of your messages. If you find a forum that allows you to submit links within the text of your message, then you found a gold mine.

Once you have targeted what forums that you may want to use to promote your WordPress blog or web site, all you have to do now is join those targeted forums. Once you have joined a forum and log in, you will normally see a link within the member’s center that says “Profile”. All you have to do is click on the Profile button and set up your signature. You signature should consist of a targeted keyword phrase that has a link that points back to your web blog. I usually have the signature point back to my home page of my WordPress blog.

Now that you have your signature setup, you will then have to post a few messages on the forum in order for your signature to show up. I recommend that you use the forums search box to find targeted messages that are already on the forum, for instance “WordPress Adsense theme colors” or “WordPress Adsense theme seo”. Once you have found a few messages that are keyword targeted go through and post your own message that answers the questions of the preexisting members.

If you already have a web page on your web site that will answer someone’s question, post a link in your message that will point back to that specific web page. For example if you searched the forum and someone was looking on how to optimize your WordPress blog for Google Adsense. And you happen to have a web page on your WordPress blog or web site that showed how to optimize your WordPress blog for Google Adsense ads. All you need to do is write a message that said “the best way to optimize your WordPress blog for Google Adsense is by testing different ad formats and types in different locations on your web blog”. You would then put a link around the keyword phrase “how to optimize WordPress for Google Adsense.”
